Minimizing cost and installation
time is intrinsic to all of our designs.
We want to know about your in-house fabrication &
installation
capabilities. We design strictly for your
needs. We will supply you only
with the finished products which you need.
VINYLS
The least expensive curtains are typically
made of fire-retardant self-extinguishing vinyls.
The temperature tolerance of vinyl varies among
manufacturers. For continuous applications,
most manufacturers claim a heat tolerance range of
-10 to 150 degrees F.. Note: airborne carbons
such as oil mist can
cause deterioration of vinyls.
Thick vinyls can be employed
as a noise barrier depending upon the frequencies of
the offending noise.
The 14 mil vinyls are
the most cost effective for privacy curtains (opaque
versions), welding curtains (tinted versions) and air quality control.
Transparent & Translucent Vinyls
If transparency is necessary, clear & tinted vinyls
are available in a variety of thicknesses from light
window vinyl to heavy gauge vinyl materials such as
used in strip curtains. Welding
curtains are typically 14 mil thick available in a
variety of colors including blue, orange, red, and
green.
Reinforced Vinyls
Except for a very few translucent reinforced
vinyls utilized for curtains,
reinforced vinyls are opaque and available in a variety
of colors. Typically, curtains are fabricated
from 14 mil reinforced vinyl but many heavier gauge
alternatives are available at an upcharge.
BALLISTIC NYLON
We design in 2 weights of ballistic nylon:
650 denier and 1050 denier.
This is the fabric of choice for abusive
environments not exceeding
150 degrees F since the nylon is coated with
urethane on one side.
HEAT REFLECTING CURTAINS
Heat reflecting curtains are typically an aluminum backed fiberglass
cloth used for containing heat caused by equipment
such as ovens. Not the prettiest of products,
but definitely the most cost effective for this
application. We've seen startling temperature
drops result from these curtain panels.
NOISE CONTROL CURTAINS
There are many configurations of noise
control curtaining. Visit our
NOISE CONTROL page for further
information.
OTHER MATERIALS
Obviously there are many many materials which
can be used for curtaining to control noise, oil
mist, temperatures, and debris. If you have an
application which necessitates more alternatives
than noted above,
